Depression - Hypnotherapy, IEMT, EFT, NLP, Reiki and Emotrance in Brighton & Hove

Depression feels awful,  I do know how that feels but it can be a time of transformation if you work with the depression instead of fighting it.  New research also shows that depression could be the mind & bodys way of of focusing the senses inwards so that the person experienceing it can focus within to explore what in their life is causing the symptoms they are experiencing.  I can show you how to explore within and how to work with how you are feeling so that you can find out what needs to change in your life so you can come out of depression calmer, stronger, wiser, more resourceful and able to create change in your life where you will energised by experiences instead of drained.

Depression is a common term often used to describe being in a prolonged low mood or feeling down for a lengthy period. It is also used to describe an illness which affects the mind. No-one is 100% sure what causes depression, it certainly is not a sign of weakness as anyone could suffer with it. Stressful incidents, physical illness, recreational drugs and genes are linked factors to causes depression.

Depressed people tend to have higher levels of stress hormones and unbalanced levels of serotonin.

Depression has many symptoms and can include:

  • Feeling tired, exhausted and lacking in energy
  • Lacking in concentration and focus
  • Losing interest in normal activities, hobbies and everyday life
  • Losing interest in things you normally really enjoy
  • Difficulty sleeping or waking up early
  • Finding it hard to get out of bed to face the world
  • Anxious, tense or nervous
  • Balance in food changing maybe overeating for comfort or losing interest in food
  • Losing self confidence
  • Feeling guilty
  • Feeling hopeless
  • Avoiding situations or people
  • Thinking about suicide – this is very common and if you feel this way then talking to someone about it will help you.
